You can’t really use it even as a shelf, hard to access, it’t quite brittle, rattles and then you’d forget having items on it when opening the roof. Those flaps dont seem to have any real function, except hiding the clips.jackboy said:Wow, that’s really helpful. Thanks. It doesn’t seem like the side flaps actually do anything except maybe stop things rolling off the shelf (if you actually used it as a shelf)
Is the fabric folding the right way? If the edges fold inwards instead of outwards it creates an extra layer of fold which is enough to stop it going the whole way down.jackboy said:I’ve oiled everything up and I think it might be slightly better. The roof is quite crusty as well so going to give it a good clean in case the fabric is stopping it somehow through reduced flexibility or something. It doesn’t go down quite enough to hit the latch but with a push will click shut
OK, for some reason I can't copy your pics to mark them up, but in both those last two you can see a point where the edge of the roof makes a 90 degree angle. Just forward of that you can make out a triangle stating to form in the material.jackboy said:I have noticed there are a couple of broken clips that I have no idea what they actually do?
