Roof not closing fully

Bit of a strange one…noticed a while back that there was a lot of wind noise when driving and tried all the usual:

Window reset
Window bolts under the door adjust
Latch adjust

I think I have now found the issue however. I have a small gap (photos soon) where the roof trim meets the a pillar trim (top of the window).

It’s the same on both sides and the roof will not go down any more even though I know it should as the foamy trim bits aren’t connecting!

Any ideas?

Evening.
That does look as though it is not quite pulling fully down. Before you get too deeply into it, remove the access panel above the mirror which will expose the locking mechanism. You can fit an Allen Key into the middle and wind it to manually lock or unlock. Try and see if you can pull the roof further down by this method. If so then it seems some further adjustment will be required. If it won’t then you need to see if there is a physical restriction

If you have the original tool kit you should have a double cranked Allen key specifically for this

I have tried this now and that hasn’t done it. I have noticed a large gap all the way along which doesn’t look good. Photos below.

Given the gaps between the roof and windshield frame and trim parts just not fitting together well, do you know if your car was ever involved in an accident in the past? I'm honestly not sure if you need a roof guy or a good body shop person.

I have no idea. I don’t believe it has but I am unsure. I will try and do some digging anyway!

Yea, you're going to need a starting point on this, with luck you'll be able to rule out the windshield frame which should allow you to focus on the convertible tops frame as having the issue.
