Hi
I have this issue with my roof closing??
Opening is fine, no unusual noises etc
I do not know where to start looking, I’m thinking it maybe the pump? :headbang:

Sensor, switch or ram..not sure about the pump..what does your BMW specific fault code reader say: :tumbleweed:

Have you checked fluid level on pump. Should be about half way.. Also try turning the brass hex. bolts on the pump unit open then close, might be air lock.

Check if you have a leak on the hydraulic line on the right hand side around the hinges, it could be loosing pressure on that side, perhaps?

There are no fault codes? so I didn't think it could be a switch or a sensor? I suppose it could be a Ram leaking internally as there are no leaks from the system

Ram seems plausible..the operation I take it was on the level…no obstructions in the boot?

Relatively unusual fault..

The pump is the easiest starting point to change, I'll start there.
And if no success I'll go for the Ram ' which is a much more difficult job'
