roof is only up for sudden rain or washing. Its down even at night.. heaters and heated seats are used
Bl**dy fair-weather wusses :fuelfire:

Today the sun shone, the roof was down, it was bliss - heated seats, heater on full, and even though it was showing 10c, I was too warm.
The beauty of the electric roof is that there is absolutely no messing about when you feel you want to "cover up", and join the coupe guys, or "top down" and experience 93million miles of headroom. A few years ago I had an MGTF - the Z is in a totally different league. - So top down when the sun shines. - No real hardship to put it up again !

Simple - the roof is up when it's parked.

It will also go up if the rain is too heavy. Cold weather not an issue, as the heater and heated seats cope easily at minus temperatures. There is something really nice about driving at night looking up occasionally at the moon and stars 8)

Coming from a Z3 it used to get really cold around -3 with the roof down at motorway speeds, but generally ok pootling about. The Z4 is much more comfortable!

I'm new to all this top down malarkey. I've come to a couple of conclusions... 1) I freaking love it! 2) I need a haircut. I have shoulder length hair that typically looks and feels like an old bird's nest after a short, open drive :?

I have one short three-letter word for you: "hat".
Oh wait, there's another one: "cap".
"Haircut" is way too long. :D

Lol, but I don't wanna wear one all summer!

Roof always down, of course, irrespective of time of year, sunshine or temperature (though my lowest so far is a poorly -2 degrees)

...having said that, the roof has to be up sometimes - It's a daily driver and some days I drive a lot for work, so have to be able to answer the phone (can't wait for my summer time 5.30am drives to work though, as nobody phones at that time); if it has just stopped raining heavily or there is a lot of water on fast roads (as the water comes up the side of the screen and along / down inside the window) ; if SWMBO is too cold, though she's pretty good down to a couple of degrees :D

Tie it back - would work for me. If I had any hair

As long as there's a break in the cloud, the I'm good, had the roof down today, only about 9c. The wife wasn't too pleased though.

Hats are essential for shoulder length hair, I have loads of hats from large straw ones and trilby's to faux fur hats that cover my ears for winter driving, however the only problem then is helmet hair. Oh to have thick luscious hair instead of it being blonde, fine and wispy :tumbleweed:
