Ronk

Hi Ron, you reminded me once that we are part of a family an I'm hoping you are feeling that now when you need it. Best of luck ad get well soon. Mike

It’s bloody depressing in hospital as I suppose many of us know- It's like a tramps doss house in here- the old blokes don't know how to say please or thank you and want everything NOW!

The upside is that they intend to move me to a rehab / therapy unit on Friday.

I can’t imagine it’s much fun on the other side of the doctor-patient relationship… At least escape is on the horizon for you. Hopefully, the other residents in the rehab unit will all be as motivated to get better and get home as you are.

It’s the lack of a reasonable conversation that’s missing - fortunately I’ve got the tv remote so I’m not being subjected to too much rubbish tv!

Not when Emma Radacanu is on. Well worth watching. For her tennis ability of course

I’m moving on to a care home today for more and intensive physio!
I’ve been allocated a six week slot

Sounds like a step in the right direction. (Ooops, pun not intended)
Hope it all goes well and is a more peaceful environment at least.

Best of luck. It sounds like is going to be rehab rather than tucking you under a blanket in a chair in front of the Antiques Road Show, so hopefully you’ll come on leaps and bounds.

You’re motivated to get better. That’s the most important thing for your recovery.

Did they give you a formal diagnosis such as central cord syndrome or just say there was bruising around the cord?

Your main motivations are:

- get back to your Z
- get back to your wife

Something like that

Your typing has already improved so I am sure you will get back up and going again with that will power

The right attitude makes all the difference, you have that mate. Look at it as a short prison sentence where you can bend down to pick up the soap.
