Good evening, just had the Roll bars done, oh and fitted the smoked back lights.
Bars wrapped in black gloss, tried it with the 3M DiNoc stuff but made a mess of it, so took her into the professionals... pretty much identical to the car colour and looks really good...
Back lights were something ive been meaning to do for ages.... and the smoke red was a bit different... anyway, see what you guys think...

marksdesigns

Big improvement, got me wondering whether to do mine carbon or just black now

Did they do them in-situ, or take them off the car?

Roll bars look good  do you mind me asking how much ? so i can get a rough idea what i am going to pay.

Really like the rear lights - shame you opted to take the fries off. I know it's a 'marmite' issue but I think they look way better with.

Roll bars - looks like they did a great job. Not sure if I like them that shiny especially as you have so many other matt finishes on the car, but they do match the paint.

Did not think I'd like this but having seen the photos it looks amazing! Really looks well together with the lights. How much did it cost to get the roll bars wrapped? Wonder what carbon would look like?

As with CJ roll bars a little to shiny, think matt black would be better, were they done in situ.

Guess you wrapped your dash as it's different to the centre console, are you going to wrap that as well.

hi all, thanks for the replies! great as always to get an opinion on these things....

ok, so some answers on them roll bars :

1. yep - they were done in situ as you all know they will snap the tabs off if you remove.
2. did try the matt CF di noc to match dash but it seemed a little too matt for them, i dont know - i think body colour was a good way to go, hence the gloss. they do look VERY shiney in the pics tho..
3. COST: yeah these were £170quid. alot but the chap has done an exceptional job, he had done a few before, so knew what he was doing, that said it took about 4hours to do.

im well happy with them... i suppose in summer when the roof is going up and down we might get some rubbing to the tops - its a tight fit up there, possibly getting them painted. hmmm. wait for summer... waiting... waiting...

yeah - i wrapped the dash in 3M DiNoc stuff. have left the alu centre console as its a nightmare to do - also not sure if i like it silver as a contrast..? maybe i will get it done in the summer, seats out, console out, etc etc.

thanks! :D ... ahh, i was looking through the threads on how to remove the console and im sure i read it was easier to remove the seats to get it out.... ? TBH struggled getting at the screws inset into the console at the sides of the seats and gave up.... :headbang:

Way better on. Looks complete.

Be careful about too much black. You need a contrast or few highlights somewhere.

I agree with cj10, but disagree with leaving the centre console silver. It needs to match the dash IMO.

Just one other thing, wouldn't it have been cheaper to buy a pair of black ///M ones and fit them?
