got this stretch of road near me on the way to watergate, about amile long that is mainly tree covered, it runs through an estate that hosts shoots and is notorious for roadkill. had been for a quick blast to check the surf and was coming back through the estate , saw a pheasant on the road ahead, was travelling about 55 ish, thought he was on the move so eased off , then realised he wasnt moving very much slowed more, still expecting it to move, then i realised he was going to return the way he was going first, too late i hit him, it was dark when i got home so havent checked for damage, bit of a thump but he went under and came out the back, will check front bumper in the morning. not the brightest of birds, he probably would have preferred to have been shot with the rest of his mates.
