RIP Project Marmite

No, it's not been scrapped, just the main thread (for now). Brad made an update a couple of months ago that nothing would happen over winter.
 
Just to clarify the situation... I locked the thread as it was fast becoming the most active thread, top of the "new posts" list... However, when you look inside it was simply a slanging match. Sure, El Taco was stirring things, but a lot of other people did themselves no favours either. This forum gets a lot of new visitors, and that thread showed the forum in a bad light.

If Brad ever completes the project he is welcome to contact me and I will re-open the thread for the great unveiling (then no doubt I'll have to re-lock it when it all kicks off again).

Maybe update your last post on the thread to let Brad know this - that way he wont just think "tossers locked my thread because of el-cunto" ;)
 
I found some of El Taco's comments amusing... sure some were borderline harsh... but i can see specre's point too... new visitors would go straight there and it doesnt really paint a pretty picture of what this forum is like.

As someone who donated too (as many others) would be good to see it finished.. however thats not the reason i donated... the chap had a bad run of luck with the theft so the forum members stepped up... owning a car and modding it is pretty low in terms of priorities in life.

That's an excellent bit of modding. I'll tone it down if you ask me to in future.
 
jesus christ.. even i've had enough of this now.

you WERE funny El Taco, now your just running on empty.
