And it'll soon be open season for old couples with caravans going up the West coast (including my parents who used to curse and swear at the things on the A9!)
...and folk in their campervans

(although to fair there ain't much that I hold up when driving mine...)

Good work JimmyPop, looking forward to this :)

I wish I could make this but working that weekend. Have a great day guys hope the weathers fantastic.

Pity you can't Alzay. Are you plannig on coming to Skye or Islay?

Yea I'm planning to get to one or the other, works a bit mad at the moment as we lost one of my work mates in an accident two weeks ago so we need to cover the extra shifts.

Oh I'm sorry to hear that :(

Yea shocker he took over from my shift and died on his way home that day 11miles from home near Balloch. He went off the road in the snow and hit a tree. Good guy too, :(

RIght guys, going to send a PM to everyone with my contact details.

The plan remains the same. Anyone else who wants to come along is more than welcome. Add your name to the list and also send me a PM so that I know who is expected and make sure everyone has my mobile number.

Fuuuuuuuuuuck!

Washed car on Monday including cleaning the roof with Raggtop cleaner, let it dry a couple of days in the garage, masked it up then went to spray on the Raggtopp protector and the aerosol can isn't working! The retailer's sending out another can first class tomorrow but I doubt I'll have it done before I next have to use the car. Not keen on bringing it out unprotected but not sure what my options are :(

Might just have to drive the whole day on Sunday with the roof stowed away :D

Well guys, looks like I won't make the start of this.

F1 is on in the morning and I don't have the self control not to look at my phone APP. :headbang:

It'll be finished for about 11 I think, so depending on what time you stop for lunch I could probably meet you there? I'll drop Jimmy a text when I'm leaving and meet you at some point on route!

I used to be able to do Oban in about 90 mins but I think it would be close to 2 hours if I'm honest.

Do you think you'll still be in Oban at 1pm?

At the moment I'm probably doing the opposite of Jonnymito. I've been booked for a family meal on Sunday afternoon, so will drive out in the morning, either as far as Rest and Be Thankful then turn back, or depending on time drive up to the A85 and head right back to Crianlarich to be back in time for the F1 and our early dinner.

Any one else going to be going to Balloch the A811 Kippen/Buchlyvie/Dryman way?

Cheers for the headsup guys. I think we should still be in Oban at 1pm.

Let's hope the good weather stays! 8) :driving:

A11y, did you get your roof sorted?

Still gutted I am missing this one,
on the bright side though SWMBO felt a wee bit guilty and is taking me to Knockhill to see the racing tomorow.

Have a great one guys looking forward to the pics. Remember to take shades, not only coz of the sun but also cos of A11ys seats 8) 8)

Have a good run tomorrow guys, wish I could be there.
I'll just have to contend myself with possibly buying some dodgy goods in Hammamet, whilst getting sunburnt. 8)

Normally that's the route I'd take, even from Falkirk as it MILES more fun than the M80/M8 plod. But since I'm collecting a passenger in Paisley tomorrow on the way through, I'd better not...

Awwww, it's not in the same league of shinyness as your wheels Nosa 8)

Let's hope the weather hasn't peaked a day early folks, see you in the morning :driving:

If I could, I would be with you.

However, another big dump of snow is expected in the Rockies this weekend and I don't want to miss that.

Popped my cherry today.... Z4-forum meet wise anyway. Cheers for a good day out guys.

Gutted I didn't make the Rest and Be Thankful picture stop. Had good fun though catching up with you all after a late start....
And thanks to A11ys mum for the painkiller ๎Œfor my migraine (good timing Mr Migraine! ๎–).
Also, saw Jonnymito's carbon wrap roof - looks great. Very tempted now myself!

Highlight of the day was a cracking run over the Glen Fruin road seein only 2 other cars.
Lowlight was JimmyPops ambitious overtake attempt which he bailed out on once realising just how ambitious it was. Must admit JimmyPop, I "clenched" a wee bit when you braked to get back in and the Freelander did too leaving you stranded in other lane! ๎„‡
