Sorry to hear that Nosa - would have been good to see those wheels again!

Sorry I've not been on here the past few days with any updates - been manic at work and STILL don't know what my shifts are after the first week in April! What does everyone think about 2nd April?

2nd good for me but so is 3rd and the following weekend. Looking to bring my dad along and Sundays suit him better due to work, but I'll just go with whatever.

Ah, the days of NHS rota indecision...

RIGHT

FInally have my rota for April onwards and I'm off the weekend of the 9th/10th so can make either. Which wold everyone prefer?

Choices are: Saturday 2nd April, Saturday 9th April or Sunday 10th April.

On a side note, I ca now confirm I can make Skye in May and as I now know where I'll be in August/September can start making plans to get the time off for Islay :driving:

EDIT: My preference would be 10th April but I'm easy. I've added a poll to the original post.

Hi - I'll be as flexible as possible but the later dates. 9th or 10th are a bit better for me- i.e. after the pre Tax Year end rush ! but if we need to opt for the earlier dates to boost numbers a bit I'll comply.

I'm in for 10th April

Like the sound of just taking the direct route north from Inverary to Oban (via Glen Aray / Loch Awe) - not too bothered about including the trip south to Lochgilphead on this trip. We'll be taking that road - I guess - on the Islay trip later in the year anyway.

No Maldives on this one, you won't be as eye catching without us :poke:

Have a good one guys really pissed at not going on this, ROLL ON SKYE YEEEEEHAAAA!!!!!

It's a pity you both can't make it Nosa and ZermattV. Looking forward to Skye.

A11y, think we'll just go the more direct route.

they could film it all on black and white film............

maybe but it wouldn't catch my gorgeous "tarts hand bag" red seats... besides is film even used now...

I think some SWMBOs might need some persuading from fellow zed partners. think of all that quality retail experience in Oban - well tartan tea towels a plenty anyway

Its ok, there's a supermarket so they could always bugger off and get the weekly shop and leave us to talk cars for a while........ :P

Looks like I'll have to drive, ahem, a bit more reservedly* on this meet - my dad should be my passenger for this. His occupation? Driving instructor  :P

* Not that - as an IAM member - I drive any other way anyway............................ :oldman:

Does that then mean you will be sending your dad to the Oban supermarket for the weekly shop ? :?

I was this with interest and fingers crossed, didn't work though just had it confirmed I'm here until the 15th April.

Will be thinking of you all as I drive my POS Punto to the beach for a weekends sun :D

Roll on Skye.................. :driving:

It looks like it's going to be a small, select group heading to Oban.

It's obviously because I'm organising it and everyone is too worried I'll show them up in my 4-pot

By the 10th of April, petrol could be as high as £1.40/litre - perhaps that's what's put the 6-pot guys off.
