Replacement Car Battery

After stubbornly ignoring it for a month i have reluctantly decided its time for a new battery. Its my own fault, my Z4 often sit unused for weeks, and finally its starting to show signs of not holding enough charge. Now im aware worst case it might be a alternator problem, but everything points to a Battery. The cars a 2007 model, its still on the original battery and iv done less than 30k in nearly 5 years, and more recently its left standing for days on end.

My question is: What battery?
£38 budget with 3 year guarantee (i doubt ill still have the Z4 in 3 years),
or do i just go O-T-T and get a £105 BOSCH with 3 year guarantee?

Whats the worst that could happen realistically? Or any alternative recommendations where to purchase from?

Before I sold my Z4 I fitted a Varta battery from the link below,

http://www.battery2u.co.uk/type-110-varta-car-batteries-F17-blue.aspx

I went for a bosch s something cant remember exactly , when my original battery gave up last year

I use Carparts4less its owned by Eurocarparts they have the 5 year bosch battery for £85 use this code cp10less, I have always
found them cheaper than Eurocarparts

Varta E44 for me from somewhere online, think it had the best specs I could find and was pretty cheap in comparison.

I fitted a bosch s4 to my Z4. I think I bought it off eurocarparts through their ebay outlet at about £50. 4 year warranty so not bad.

Varta are also good, as recommended above.

Cheers Andy, went with your suggestion, opted for 'Exide BatteryExcell Battery 100 (71Ah) 3 Year Guarantee' as its got better cold cracking ratings than the Bosch. With 48 hour delivery and £5 off promo-code its £59

Thanks for all the other suggestions guys.

I'm sure you'll be fine with an Exide branded battery especially if you don't need it to last 10 years. I definitely wouldn't touch a cheap one - just not worth the hassle of it failing (and they do).

Varta as above:

When you take into consideration the price differential, its minimal so go for the best.

i need a battery for my alpina...

Thinking Bosh..guessing the more expensive one is better as specs looks different and comes with 5 years warranty..

Anyone know?

If you go Bosch, there is no difference between the S3, S4 or S5 other than the length of warranty.

they looks different and the Amp and crank power is different?

though not sure if that makes any difference...

EXTRA10 is knocking off 10% of the price off a battery in my basket right now on the ECP website

think they have more % over the weekends? always see emails but come weekend i never get a chance to check if the codes work..
