Hi,

Well, this weekend I changed my standard exhaust on my 3.0 2004 Z4 for a Remus Catback...oh what a lovely sound! It really shows off the straight 6 :)

Before, well it just wasn't doing the business tbh

There is now a nice Purr like a lion lol, it made me smile like a little kid all the way home, and through the tunnels, omg!

I've never changed up and down gear with so much glee or listen to it burble when you take your foot off the gas :)

The guys at Elite Direct in Rainham in Essex did a great job, really helpful, nice place if anyone wants to get performance stuff :) Plus they have onsite cafe!

I would thoroughly recommend it :)

p.s. Strut Brace arrives next week...my final mod :)

Very nice.. i was tempted in getting one too.. but not a fan of the tips... bit too bling for my liking.... can they be removed and replaced?

Hi Mate,

No they can't be replaced, but to be honest I wouldn't want to. They don't look as bling as you think, certainly not with my colour scheme.

Look really nice :) I too thought bling at first, but once they are on, all your loving is the noise anyway :P

Welcome to the club mate.

Nice to see you took my recommendation and they sorted you out.

It was exactly the same guy who fitted mine. Now that mine has been on 4k miles, its sounds glorious.... :driving:

Regarding the tips, they look bling when its brand new!Once coked up and bedded in they beef up the Z4

Yeah thanks, definately not dissapointed. They reversed it off the ramp area and i started smiling (they said, I think he's happy) lol, the chap who managed it H was cool too, £450 inc VAT and fitting, (took them 40 mins to fit it) and he mailed me back the exhaust free of charge :)

I notice you have Zenon's, did you mod these yourself? and was a remap worth it?

:D Yeah i was the same...grinning from ear to ear..

Some of the max power crew there were turning their heads when I started her up, and scuttled to the back of the car to see what exhaust it was. Few of them even gave me a nod of appreciation.

To my knowledge the car came with Xenon's mate, some of the seasoned vets on here might correct me, but I think they were standard on the 3.0i's.

The Remap was worth it (I got it done for £100!) Got it done from my cousin who owns a tuning company. And it has made the car a tad smoother, but to be honest on a NA engine it is pointless...

Enjoy the exhaust. Top down with the sun in your face and a satisfying roar from an exhaust cant be beat.

congrats :D

Mmmmm, ok, pawn you might be right, my last but one mod :P Here's me looking at Xenon conversion kits for later in the year lol.

I'm wondering if it's worth it...mmm

Wow...learn something new everyday on here..

Must say the Xenons are a great investment..

Why do Remus insist on making hideous tailpipes...Ruin's an otehr wise quality system...

I thought that too, I guess it's personal choice. It's looking good on my car though :)

I think it unlikely I will be able to sell my standard exhaust now though :/ Given how long it took to get off, the build quality if v good.

Sadly I have to agree....very tempting to investigate having them changed! I guess you don't see them from behind the steering wheel!

p.s Aliv6 I had a drive in a clio V6 this weekend and what a machine that is!!!

Any sound clips? I'm quite tempted by the Remus but I have to admit, I don't think I could live with those tips (personal choice). I've been looking at the Hayward and Scott systems but thats almost double the cost compared to the Remus... I suppose its like everything in life; you get what you pay for.....

Will post a clip this weekend :) Haywood and Scott indicated £450 for the same system, so no idea why yours is costing twice. Catback System.

Just haggle with them, times are tough everyone wants business. Say your looking at Remus, anything they can do on cost, and quote £450 from elite, see what they can do for you. Personally, remus for me.

Post Revival.....

I'm getting a Remus fitted in the next couple of weeks once the unit is in stock!
The tips have changed and are much better looking in my opinion £440.32+VAT fitted! :P
