Remus Exhaust - Fitted!

Funnily enough I made an enquiry to Remus about one of their systems only yesterday :) Is yours a 3.0si or 3.0i? I assume you're getting the cat-back exhaust?
 
Sadly got a call today and now they can't supply the remus exhaust at the stated price! They now want £609 fitted, the original item has been removed from the website & replaced with a new type...New Part is 088103 0584C old was 088003 0584C :thumbsdown:

Going to look about for something else :(
 
Oh no thats rubbish, what other options do you have mate?

I would be interested in trying to get mine to sound better.

Keep us upto date and maybe try and see if they will give you a discount on more than one as i am up for it and im sure others will be :)
 
I just found the old verison of the Remus on eBay.de

€49 for delivery thinking about making a cheeky offer, only thing is trying to find someone to fit it!

At that price (+ delivery), you'd be saving around £100 - then you've got to pay for fitting. Even if you make them an offer and cover the cost of fitting, you're still only saving £100

If it were me I'd just take the £609 fitted price from a UK supplier, have the latest version and know that there's a warranty to fallback on in case of any issues.
 
What is the tip design like on the new one Terry?

Do any other companies make a bolt on exhaust for the zed?

Did Miltek every make on?

Tips are the same, they have the little carbon inserts! :)
 
i had a Remus back box on my 3.0i E85, the droning got too much for me in the end, and i went the whole hog and put a Miltek full system on in the end. look nice but a cruise speed it just got too wearing. constantly found my self not putting it in 6th to keep the revs a little higher and out of the drone range.

Full chat it was lovely.
 
I'm having no luck with finding a exhaust locally... Powerflow are local (Brighton) but they say they can't fit a box to my car for some reason something to do with their rear box designs? :cry:

Miltek don't seem to do anything for the Z4 anymore :thumbsdown:

What about longlife? i remember looking into them for previous cars and never actually got around to fitting one in the end. They do seem to be a bit of a drive from you though :thumbsdown: http://www.longlife.co.uk/dealer-locator/

I recommend that you consider Eisenmann too. I had eisenmann exhaust in my e36 328i convertible and it was really great. All eisenmann products are shiny stainless steel.
Sport is milder and for daily driving, and race is brutal and loud.
