Removing run flats

.....Does the Tyre Pressure monitoring still work on non run flats?

Yes !
It doesnt measure pressure - It counts wheel revolutions and when it sees a change across an axle it alerts.

Runflats suck balls... Best thing I ever did changing to standard tyres... smoother ride, reduced weight... never had a puncture yet 'touch wood' oi oi

I'm guessing you have the old Z4 so can't really draw comparison with run flats on an E89.

I kinda get annoyed when people chime in on E89 threads rubbishing RFs when they have no experience of the latest generation tyres on the latest models

Tim.

Or on Runfllats in general where experience is based on the original Bridgestone RE050 ONLY

Other manufacturers RFTs are totally different to Bridgestones ,but they are not cheap

What do you guys do if you get a puncture, Do you already have Gel in your tyres or do you carry a can of tyre weld in your car with you.
Just curious as I am coming up for a tyre change and am pondering on using STD tyres.

Rezulteo do a very good tyre rating comparison. On my car I run
225 45 R17 91V Run Flats
The tyre that comes up with a 5 star rating in Safety, Comfort and Economy is the Continental Conti Sport Contact 2* SSR
