Removing dash strip

I can't find a guide about removing the dash strip. Anyone give me any pointers?? I'm thinking of having it wrapped in leather or something :)
 
The bit around the light switch is levered off using something like a credit card.

Th longer part requires you to remove the centre air vent, radio, and remove the four screws holing it on. The other end you need to remove the air vent and remove the spring clip that retains the trim.

Centre console section requires removel of rear bulhead centre panel then the centre console tunnel panel. You can then remove the trim from underneath by removing the 30 yes 30 secrews that hold it on.

dreamer, if you brave it make sure you take plenty of pics, i was thinking of doing mine with carbon fibre. been done i know but i love the look :D

fair enough! I guess I was kinda asking for it! lol

So I'll rephrase... From which company that kills cows for leather are you thinking of buying from?

I haven't even thought where to get the trimming done, just wondered how easy it was to remove it. I may even justgo with a carbon look wrap as it would certainly be cheaper. Just want them black as the aluminium really doesn't go with my new seats. Will definately post pics once I've got round to it. 8)
 
you can get a carbon fibre twill cloth from ebay for about £11 for .25sqm

that is the one i was lookig at getting


srhutch have you donw your dash? what does it look like and what is the wear on it like?
