Hi All, I just purchased a Thinkware U3000 Dual Camera dashcam that I want to install in my 2024 Z4 M40i. I would like to route the power and rear camera cables behind the LHD side 'A' Pillar and other trim panels. The power will come from the OBD2 port while the rear camera cable will need to be hidden all the way to the rear bulkhead panel. Guidance on how to safely remove the panels involved would be greatly appreciated! TIA.

No need to remove them to do this. The cable will slip behind the trim. You might need to use a plastic trim tool to ease it in place.

I didnt bother, Mine is a RHD, but I just tucked the cable into the gap between the glass and the trim using a trim tool. You can only see the cable in the corners. Cable is routed to a T-Splitter on the fusebox that splits the accessory socket fuse into two, which means the camera auto powers off when the cars not running. But the same route can just loop to the OBD if needed: Pics of my routing attached.
Note: My mount looks low because its a front and internal facing cam, so the internal cam needs to clear the rear view mirror.

Thanks for responding and for the photos. My TW U3000 is a dual camera unit and the cable to the rear camera is quite a bit larger in diameter than the power cable - it just will not go behind the pillar trim at any point. I realize we have the same G29 vehicle, but even trying with a trim tool to press the power cable behind the A-Pillar at the windshield, the trim is is so well-fitted, I couldn't get it to go in for fear of cracking the trim piece. Maybe another try will give me the confidence to do that, but the video cable would still be outstanding...so i'm basically forced to pull the trim-which involves removing the windshield header trim, the vanity mirror lights and the rearview mirror shroud. Looks like i have a job to do! Never-the-less, thanks again.
