Reliant Scimitar GTE

I love threads like these. You don't get them on other forums anymore. All the other BMW forums talk about are Range Rovers, Teslas and fecking Porkers. :headbang:

Sticking to the Reliant theme how about one of these……

They are pretty funky!
I can't help but laugh at what my lovely wife would say if one of those turned up. It would definitely start with "I am not getting in that f***ing thing".

I remember giving my gran a lift to the railway station, she couldn’t climb out so i had to physically lift her out!

Seized the original 700cc high compression engine cracking 100mph along the a500. Happy crazy days

wouldn't be fun watching a 10 year old go past you on his electric scooter if you were driving that thing

Regular occurrence no matter what Pondy's driving.

Saab turbo maybe?
No Saabs. I had a very bad experience with an ex business partner over a Saab (long story). My dad had a Saab 96 (900cc two stroke) when I was a little kid. I loved it but think it may have contributed significantly to global warming.
Those were the days before Carbon Dioxide had been invented. :D

It’s ok Pondy, I’m carrying on the fine tradition :P

One of the bikes I have my eye on is a KH250. Can't afford the 750 (or 500, or 400 for that matter)!
The other is a GPX750R. Never had one but always liked them. Would love a gpz550/ 750 unitrack but rare as hen's teeth and climbing in value.

The 400 engine is a straight fit in the kh250 frame 8)

Couldn't do that. The numbers wouldn't match and would play havoc with my OCD. Any bike I buy would have to be a 'UK' one with matching numbers.
Why do these threads keep turning into nostalgic bike threads?

The Kawasaki triples don’t have matching numbers :o

LHD is lovely to drive, I had a lhd car for years in the UK, just so much easier to drive with the gearshift in your right hand.
I always drive when I have family over in their cars, not a problem

@Pondy
Why not go for a Triumph Trident?
It's a classic, it is british, a triple and also smokes on the overrun when ridden hard

That looks in great condition, it’s obviously been well looked after - they sound fantastic as well

Do we know if Pondy can ride a bike? I wouldn't trust him with a push bike

Being left handed I’ve always been happy with it on the left.
Ditto mate. I heard that 90% of the most successful people are left handed (oh and me!).

I passed my bike test when you were still wearing wooden shoes, living in a windmill and picking tulips for a living.
