redundant members?

Not sure if that's a good thing or not.....I have a loft that desperately needs to meet a skip BUT I'm quite fond of the wife so looks like I'm keeping her and all the "junk"

Some of it's mine :D

If redundant members were deleted, would their posts be gone too? I'm all for de-cluttering. I find the place cluttered when doing a search for a particular subject and you'll get quite a few threads or too many that are replicated on the subject. Maybe that's why from time to time you'll get people who either can't be bothered or find it a bit of a minefield when searching and so post on the forum only to be 'told off' because it's already posted in archives. I did have between 2 and 3 years away hence not many posts.

I'm worried about moving - hassle for me - or dying - hassle for everyone I know - because of the amount of stuff stored in various places, not just the loft....

Hmm, I know the feeling, if Steph wasn't here I'd never find a thing

The ex-wife took the loft, along with the house

A costly solution :(

If u remove people no longer posting, and delete their posts, then some good info for newbies would be lost

Even if someone has their account deleted, there is an option to keep the posts. You will see that when members have asked to "leave" and have their account deleted, their posts remain, unless they've edited them to a series of "."

Not on this forum but in the past I have contact members who haven't posted for a long time re a thread they started or commented on. You know the sort of thing, asking advice on a mod they did, or the name of a company they used etc.
I always got a positive response.
If we delete defunct members we would surely loose the ability to do this, wouldn't we?

When I read the subject bar, I assumed this post was about being married for too long. How wrong was I...

Please don't delete me! I know I am not a regular any more but I love to read the jokes and very occasionally post one. :)

Who knows my next car might be an E89

Enough said on the subject ,Moo seems to make the point for keeping them all, however irregular they

Hi everyone, I'm back after 3 years. Just logged in tonight and I'm amazed I actually remembered my login details so glad you didn't dump me. Still haven't bought a Z4 yet but still not given up on the dream either
