Ok so small update I've managed to renegotiate my three day week backup to a 4 day week well 32 hours.
As I work for a small firm and everybody seems to be on different hours I pointed out that it was unfair to make everybody go on a three day week when some people were only working 4 days already and some where working 5 days a lot fairer to reduce it by 25% for everybody.
But the question I have now is they want to re contract me for 32 hours , now I know in the likelihood of me being made redundant this will alter my redundancy pay as it's based on your final salary at the time of redundancy reducing my redundancy payout by several thousand, but will it also affect my length of service with them as I've been with the company for 27 years is this some sort of sneaky way not to pay me any redundancy if I sign a new contract
