Hey all,
As above, Only change to the car is temporary wheels I now have on the car - put on on Saturday - as my originals are being refurbed. Does the 2006 Zed have tyre pressure monitor? Just flashed up the warning after first drive out with the temp wheels on since Saturday. Done about 15 miles with the wheels and 30 mins of driving before it flashed up the alarm.

Everything else feels OK and all levels OK.

Not had time to investigate since I am working at a conference until later when I can investigate.

Appreciate your thoughts.

It was a very bumpy road when it flashed up. The tyres look fine (or they did when I left the car). I will reset the tyre pressure indicator later.

I thought all z4s had tpms or at least both of the cars I have owned have done. Red warning light is probably system not able to detect presence of the tpms due to the change in wheels.

z4 doesn't have pressure sensors it calculated using abs sensors, when new fitted you simply need to reset system

Mine did it when I fitted 18" wheels, I held the button by the roof buttons and the light went out

Sorted guys. Thanks. I reset the tyre pressure thingy and red light now gone. A mine of info is this forum, what would we all do without it?!!!!!

How does that work? Had no idea a system like that existed!

ABS sensors detect wheel speed so if your tyre deflates quickly enough suddenly that wheel is rotating faster than it should be and it picks up on this change.
