Couldn't agree more, but it's all about the £££. I have been in a few Zed's without sports seats and it just seems wrong, although you do need to be careful getting in and out of them, especially with metal buttons in jeans etc, as they do catch on the bolsters quite easily.

I've got Red heated, electric sports seats in my Coupe.
Will make it quite desirable to sell on

I know they are rare and all that,but come on for that price they are ridiculous.

considering he listed them first of all as buy-it-now for £600, but as soon as he saw the interest,pulled it off.

i just dont know how people can justify paying that sort of money just to change the seats, there must ether be single or have very understanding partners :)
 
For that much money you are getting into nice BMW Performance seats, which imo are preferable again over the m-sports...

I think this was actually a set as an auction with a buy it now of £600.. but as soon as any bid is placed it automatically becomes only an auction.... the first guy that placed a bid should have just used the buy it now option!

have to disagree as I did even contact the seller and he even said he took it off :thumbsdown: due to amount of offers he had.

Bugger, if I'd have known he had a buy it now I'd have offered him 600 straight up.

They went for 850 in the end so a pretty fair price for electric red.
 
Personally I think that's a reasonable price given what they are. I agree it's pretty mental for what's effective a pair of seats, but that's the going rate.

But if you think that's bad, you should try and buy a pair of captains seats (individual front seats instead of a driver's seat plus 2-seater passenger bench) for a Volkswagen T5 van for under £1k. Now that is mental and is whay I have some standard Z4 leather seats in the front of my van :lol:
 
I made an offer on the original auction but I had no intention of using them, If I 'd got them for the offer price I'd have put them up for a swap for a black or cream set.

me too(even before they respond to my offer,they ended the auction), as I fancy having the heated seats,at the moment mine aren't heated, not very keen on red at all though (don't care if they are very sought after or not).
 
Mmmm...I can't decide if I'm a bit miffed or quietly pleased...I did NOT buy these but did make a couple of snipe bids for them - 2nd snipe was very slightly higher than the end sale price but for some reason didn't work - guess that's the risk of a snipe in the last 2 seconds when I had to be in a meeting elsewhere. I wasn't aware they had ever been a buy it now. It is a ridiculous price really in relation to what some of our cars are worth. I do have red electric & heated seats but not sports - wasn't fully aware of difference when I first bought. I guess my fuller frame will just need to continue to use up the available space - in reality I do not find I/we roll around much - even compared to 2 sets of ultra firm Audi sports seats. Do we know if anyone has ever sourced a set of red/electric/heated sports seats in last year or two?
 
I have to disagree with the price being too high.
Red sports seats are rare and transform the right zed into what it should have been vs bland standard black seats.
The old seats will fetch £200+ so reducing costs.

Weighed against what we spend on our cars I don't see it as expensive.

I did this 3 years ago and have not regretted it for a second and the zed never fails to raise comment about the red interior.
