Pretty boring topic I know ....
But it's pretty hard to find any decent and honest comparisons between units online - specifically targeting and speed of drying over anything else (say a full 9kg load of freshly washed towels)
We are running a 2year Zanussi unit right now (condenser) and whilst it's fine, it doesn't have a digital display nor any senior to auto switch off. I empty the water tray after each use and clean out fluff catchers on a similar basis. The condensing element also gets cleaned regularly. So overall the unit is working at full efficiency yet it still takes approx 2.5 hours to dry my load of towels/jeans etcetc
Since we have had a baby, the washer and dryer are on daily and so we just want something which is faster and cheaper to run if it makes overall.
Have heard/read about Heat Pump but also heard they take longer but are very efficient.
Whilst we have a condenser type today, we could take the traditional vented type - just would need to make a hole / ducting etc
Thoughts and real would inputs sought!
Thanks and happy snowey Saturday! (Rock n roll!)
