Recommend me a warranty -

Have you had your monies worth?

Also when I looked at it BMW were actually cheaper than WD although it means all future servicing will need to be done at a main dealer whilst under their warranty.

I did not think that was true ...
Me too, until i rang them
That's not what I was told last time I rang them. They told me that I could buy a "lapsed policy" - no cover for the first month that it's in operation, and slightly more expensive than a continuing policy, but no requirement for a dealer inspection. How recently did you talk to them?

:D Auto Protect
£299 for the year, unlimited claims to the value of the car.
Doing a bit of research for Auto Protect it seems in a few instances they wont allow oem parts to be fitted :(

I can only speak from my own experiance.
I have been with them for 18 mths now.
I have the premium cover, and basically covers everything eletrical and mechanical up the value of the car.
I have asked about the roof motor and on the phone they stated it is covered.
I have made two claims with the.
One for a failed washer motor and one for a faulty PDC sensor, both were upheld no quibbles.
My indie garage handled both claims, I didn't even have to contact the warranties, the only negative was that they only pay £50 an hour labour, so I had to pay the extra, my indy charges £65 per hour.
