Recaro Pole Positions - Imola Red Leather with recaro sliders and VAC mounts

Nothing extra for the driver's side, but I put a spare, genuine passenger occupancy sensor mat (52107053946 which is no longer available from BMW) under the cushions on the passenger side (mine is an early model without the passenger airbag deactivation switch). The alternative is one of those ebay occupancy emulators.

For example:

There are a few options for floor mounts, but it's just a matter of finding one that fits the Recaro sliders and the holes in the Z4MC floor. There are even some options where the slider/mount is in one piece - but they are car-specific.

Other options:

Thanks @mmm-five

I have the seats now along with recaro side mount and Endurance Motorsport Recaro Compatible Runner Kit.

It seems like the planted base mount looks to be made for Z4M so hopefully less likely to have issues. Not ordered yet but will do so once GSM clarifies the slider compatibility.

One quick question @mmm-five, for the driver side is it just the receptacle sensor wire and seat heating wire if you have one? Are there any other sensor wires? If not I should be able to install the driver side without seeing any errors light up specially the airbag. This way I can start using the seat while I gather items on this thread WANTED Various seat components

Remember to disconnect the battery once you've moved the seat enough to remove the floor bolts, and before you remove any connectors...and don't reconnect until the new seat is all bolted up and connected.

The 3 electronic elements in my driver's side were, 1) seat heating, 2) electrically adjustable seat, 3) seatbelt receptacle sensor wire & explosive charge. Can't remember how many actual connectors there were though - and the passenger side also had the seat occupancy sensor.

But they all go into the big block of cabling under the seat, and IIRC there was only one way for them to go back in - of course the heating/adjustment connections won't be connected - but not having them connected didn't throw up any warnings on mine.

Thanks @mmm-five, will be sure to disconnect once bolts are out. Great to hear while I gather all the parts I will be able to use my new seats on driver side at least. Just need the base mount :)
