Recaro Install in Z4 Coupe

Slightly off topic but I think your aero bumper looks great

Thanks, torn on the sideskirts. I really think they look great on the roadster b/c the lines run parallel with the doors when top is down. On the coupe, not so sure...

Thanks!

So will the other M sport seat be for sale & how much do you want for it? Next question, how do you think a long term ride in the recaro will be? (i.e. over 3 hours of driving)

Not for sale yet...

It doesn't seem bad. The recaro forces you to sit upright, which I found harder with the stock seat. I'd find myself inevitably slouching which would result in lumbar fatigue. I've driven 2.5 hrs to the track and no issue so far. Next track event is 4hrs away, will report back...

You must have a racers build. I'm only 5' 10" and my seat back is just a couple of inches from the rear bulkhead. that close to the wheel with the airbag would scare me.

I'm 5'9" 165 but I'm actually thinking about running a slider just to go a little further back. On track I sit very upright, ideal driving position is back upright, arms have a slight bend, and the pedals should be close enough where there's still a slight bend in the knee when applying clutch or brake fully. But for street, I could definitely benefit from an inch further back.

I have to say. The reason I asked in the first place. Was the seat in one of your photos looks so far forward it looks like a 4 footer would be folded like a pretzel.

I would love to put in a sport seat. My 3.0 si has the flat standard seats. I flew around the cabin like a pinball at the Nurburgring.
