Reasonable cost for wheel alignment?

As per the title. What's a reasonable cost these days for wheel alignment? Any recommendations in Milton Keynes?

Thanks

Can't help with location, but for a 4 wheel hunter alignment I reckon you're looking at £90-£150 depending on where you go and how much effort it takes... Just don't go to Kwik fit - from what I have read on here they never have the 'special tool' required to change the camber. Apparently...

Cheers Bing. That close to what I've been quoted. £65 + vat, £85 + vat if camber needs doing, on a hunter. Not sure if its still £65 if no adjustment is needed?

I paid £120 at one place (and didn't go back  ) and was charged £75 at another place which took me through the full process, explaining all the changes and offering bespoke settings according to the type of driving and feel I preferred - all good stuff and I thought excellent value.

This should be a good start point for finding a local guy.

What happened at the first place Paul?

I used align my car to find my local in Derby... used them at least half a dozen times now over the years on various cars and charges 60+ vat for a Base scan and upto 6 adjustments!

And he even recently scanned my TT for free! And being a tight wad I took it to Audio with the print out for them to do it under the warranty !

Thanks for the link Denis. The only place which comes up within 5 miles of me is the place I had in mind; jps wheel alignment centre - Milton Keynes. I'm gonna bite the bullet and go with them!

I spoke to jps in the past and they seem to know what they are talking about. They should do as that's what they specialise in.
At least it won't by some spotty yts kid doing it.
Let us know how you get on.

As a further comment the Hunter equipped places I have been too check the car for free then advise and show you the print out of what would be needed. (Obviously not printed out to take away) From that they quote to do it, but it's usually a standard charge.

i Paid £108 inc vat for a full 4 wheel alignment by Grin Speed in Layland, great guys and their knowledge is second to none, ex head mechanic for ford rally and they do everything with string and measuring equipment

Thorney Motorsport in Milton Keynes are very good. Always took my CSL there for years, not cheap but know their stuff...

This is mine, after taking it to recommended one by" alignmycar" in melton mowbray, cost me £75 in total.. sorry if picture comes over to big....

sorry Scooba, haven't got a clue what most of this means, never mind requesting anything, :? why do you think it's wrong..?
