Rear undertray gap when fitting a Z4m bumper

I am now on the final stages of fitting my Z4M bumper to my 2004 2.5i E85. I have already done a test fit, so I now know that there is a gap between the Z4m bumper and the standard under tray. I know that the bumper is connected at the edges but I am concerned if a gust of wind catches it in the middle. I have looked at getting a Z4m under tray and modifying it to fit around the battery box, but they are as rare as hens teeth second hand and I am scared to ask how much a new one would be. Has anybody else come across this problem and how did you tackle it

I know a few others have had this issue, I think JINGLE has a nice under-shot when his car is up on ramps at a garage. I think he linked the gap with a small section of metal / plastic? One clipping the existing holes under neath and one to the new bumper.

Just got my facelift light surrounds back from the sprayer today so now have everything in place. I am going to do the workaround option first, of taking a feed from the number plate lights to replace the 6v feed in the pre facelift lights. Then it will be off to Mike for a bit of recoding to sort it properly

Sry, thought you were talking about gap at front of undertray.

I left the gap on my previous zed and never had any issues even on a private runway at 145mph

As above, I’ve not used any extra fittings on mine and no issues.... although my car doesn’t go 145 on that private runway  :headbang:

Here’s the photo I tried to PM you, should be able to see how it’s all laid out etc

Looks very impressive, a bit more fancy than I will be going for. Will post some photos of mine once it is fitted
