The pinging/rattling sound has gone (as you'd expect), but now there's more of a clonk sound coming from the same area (rear right). After the springs were fitted I drove around the area near the supplying garage just to check it was ok and it all seemed fine. 50 miles later and I was nearly home and off the motorway and now it was clonking over some bumps. Today I retorqued the wheel nuts just to make sure it wasn't that but it's not. I took it out on a test drive and it seems to clonk more when the right hand side is raised in relation to the left (e.g. going over a speed hump with the right side while the left side stays on the normal surface). Due to this I'm suspecting ARB bushes or drop links since this would present itself more when the suspension movement differs from left to right. Does this sound plausible?
I suppose this is a wear and tear item so I'll just take it to my local BMW indy. I'm a bit miffed (it's never nice to have a new purchase go wrong so soon) but at the same time I suppose I'll end up with nicely refreshed suspension that'll hopefully last a long time once it's all fixed.
