Ours is at 42,000 with the original brakes front and back.

We are at a similar mileage, still on the original set of front pads, but had the rear pads replaced a couple of years ago as they tend to wear faster than the fronts. I understand this is due to being rear wheel drive and the traction control mechanism.
We had this done by an independent as they specialise in BMWs and had the electronic gizmo to disable the electronic handbrake whilst changing the pads.
