If all thats been lost here is a little bit of someones time, then i would count myself lucky. Yes its frustrating, but the internet is riddled with scammers and time wasters, so it could have been a whole lot worse.

Thanks for the replies. I've had previous dealings with site members and had no problems at all. Just this guy really pissed me off by not turning up after numerous calls and texts advising arrival times and delays, up to and including "20 minutes away" at 10pm. He obviously never left home and was just fxxxxxg me around. If he had said no thank you, won't be coming, no problem.

As requested, the offenders name, in bold, is
Wasimenzo

My own apologies go to the mods for not strictly following the buying and selling rules. That was unintentional as I was responding to an email while on a holiday and I have learnt from it, and possibly others too.

On the comment of just time. The hardtop had been stored in my mechanics garage since the accident. Because Wasimenzo advised the day before that he could not arrive before the garage was locked up at 6pm, I had to arrange to move the hardtop home. My neighbour kindly offered to lend me his van but was unable to help as he had recently broken his back at motocross. So I had to ask my son to drive down 30 miles to help me. Not a sob story, just an indication that can be problems at both ends.

eBay? Yes, if there is no interest in the next week I will be putting the hardtop on eBay at a higher price.

For the member from Durham who pm'd me, no I have no plans to be travelling north with the hard top. You could always join the Bristol/Wales hood in a couple of weeks and pick it up as you go by.

The future. Had enough of folding soft tops. Folding hard top next (says he laying himself open to criticism)

Ooh this is controversial....

So I've seen who the offending person is.... he bought his car from JuniorJet on this forum. He'd been looking for ages and ages and I kept making suggestions on the FB page and offering possibilities (for the sake of being helpful). Anyway the deal was done and James sent me a message to say thanks for the 'hook up' and he was glad the car was sold etc.

I just assumed he was a young guy who was very enthusiastic and a bit hyper in terms of his Z4. He liked his modding and spent some money pretty much straight away getting things done. He didn't seem the sort that would just leave you hanging when he'd arranged to buy something (like a hardtop) from someone. Does seem a bit odd. Also, why does he want a hard top?

I've read the Twitter account and the topics, grammar and info seems to follow suit from both the Z4 FB page and his own personal FB page.
I am surprised he hasn't commented on here given there's five pages now! A shame he couldn't keep the OP updated and tell them he wasn't coming, given all the trouble they went to.

i think its quite unfair getting all personal posting pictures of him on a thread about being a bit of a cock messing someone around over a hard top, yes, it was out of order, but 4 pictures of the guy? Really?

Fair enough - I'll remove them - but it needed 4 to show the haircut from all angles

its not to say your wrong, but its not something i'd do myself, i repsect the fact you took my opinion onboard rather than retaliating telling me i'm wrong

but agreed about the mop

Photo removed to avoid offending anyone....
Sorted so you are not the bad guy
Oh, I'm a complete w@nker really... :P

As an aside, it appears that one of the downsides of using the new 'attachments' feature for pics rather than PhotoBucket links is that you can't get rid of images that have been included in quoted posts - if someone quotes them, it creates a new copy of the image.... ho hum, my infamy shall live forever....

Just so you all know what haircut to laugh at should you meet him in the street...

Wow, I remember when my hair was sort of like that, a few years ago. It was even black too.
