Rattling brake dust shields

If you remove the brake disc you can then use large washers to secure. After my first one went as i mentioned earlier in this thread, the other side started rattling so i thought sod that! Took the disc off and got full view of the bolts, secured them and been fine ever since.
First sensible response

Anyone know what size washers to use? I am going to have a go at this on Sunday morning. Will take pics etc. for the benefit of others.

All done. Washers definitely the way to go. Got the discs off and was faced with the bolt hole clearly corroded. In fact there is another one just the other side of the hub which I gave a gentle tug off and it literally fell apart and broke in my hands so put a washer on that one too.

Anyway for reference this is what it looked like

And thanks Tug for the advice, spot on

And not the shield itself wasn't rusted PVR, I just had a rusty hole ....

I can't show you a picture now as they have been replaced, but mine were grinding on the disks when reversing as "the hole" was about 50% of the shield

Wasn't much of a shield then  mind you probably cooled the brakes better

I didn't actually have time to do the other side, I am half expecting that to kick up a fuss sooner rather than later.
