Rare rear lights ???

I was tempted to get some before but they are from an LHD so you have to swap some wiring over and I didn't want to mess with it so just went full red (no spots) for mine. Definitely look a damn site better than the asymmetric ones that come as standard on the pre faceleft
They are a mixture of one UK spec and one euro spec to get the quad spot look. They are pricey, i think i paid around £250 recently for a genuine brand new set as i got fed up of waiting for them to come up secondhand. I can confirm they are plug and play and all you need is a silver chrome fog light plug that lights up red for the fog light to work in a legal/mot fashion. Or if you want you can easily rewire to have two reverse lights and no fog like the US spec cars, although this should fail an MOT unless you've got a friendly MOT Tester who will look the other way.
USA wise, over there the symmetrical quad spot look was standard (no fog light requirement) unlike in europe where you had to mix and match left and right hooker lights to achieve it

Or you can get a set of clears and tint them. Much cheaper.
Tidy job
Made my own 5 years ago by grafting one lens onto a 3 white spot set. No laquer or stickers and they look amazing, but I'd baulk at £250 for a set of rear lights...

Completely agree and as they become older and bits no longer available from BMW then the price rises for desirable options.
Look at sideskirts that are sought after, or try to get a carbon fibre rear diffuser, or a pair of clear xenon lights.
The one that fascinates me is the hardtop that used to be £800 max. and despite 5 years of nay sayers forecasting doom, you can now pay £1,000 for a good one in Autumn.
All very perverse on cars worth as little as £3k
