is it really possible to fit this without removing the bumper?
Managed to remove the old scoop no problem but surely it isn't possible to fit the top 2 screws on the new one.
Am I missing something?

I've been away on holiday for a couple of weeks but got back to work last Tuesday to find the scoop waiting for me - thanks Dan

I fitted it this morning through the grill opening, very easy job 15-20 mins tops and no problem getting all three screws in place. It is, however, worth running the screws in & out of the holes before fitting as the holes are very slightly undersize

To make life easier, after offering up the scoop to check alignment, I added a couple of strips of double-sided trim tape to the mating surfaces. This held the scoop firmly in place and avoided the need for a third hand while getting the screws in.

Fitted mine this afternoon through the grill which took me about 25 mins. I did find the process however a bit fiddly, mainly due to my big hands and restriced working space

Fitted mine today. Honestly can't believe people are fitting these without taking the bumper off. How do you get to the bottom hole (on the leg) on the scoop?

Anyway, is it meant to fit right up against the plastic intake bit or is there supposed to be a small gap at the bottom?

Thanks Dan, arrived here on the other side of the big ocean yesterday in perfect shape, hope to install this coming weekend.

Great work

Great news, I've sent a few overseas but Canada is the furthest by some distance!

Thanks Dan! :D :D :D

I fitted mine today during my lunch break and it was easy (after reading everyone else's pain on here). A bit of brute force and ignorance got the old one off easily and I found that removing both kidney grills made positioning and getting the lower screw in easier.

Can i second ben g's question of: "is it meant to fit right up against the plastic intake bit or is there supposed to be a small gap at the bottom?" The gap on mine is around 1cm.

Mine sits a little high too, about 15mm of the top of the scoop is obscured by the top of the grill opening. I'm guessing that this is a minor thing as the net result will invariably be better than the crappy plastic thing I pulled off.

Can't wait to drive home in 4th all the way along the 329 8)

Anyone want to fit mine for a few pints?
I'm sure someone will volunteer to do it during the Wales meet - either at Dick Lovett or during the lunch stop

Hope so, will bring the scoop and fang protectors anyway, and if I can't get them fitted I may sell them on if anyone wants them

how the f**k anyone has managed to do that with the bumper on is beyond me, i couldn't even get to the head of the screws with a driver

and when trying to take the bumper off i discovered some wab has overtightened some of the top torx screws and semi stripped them... so no joy doing that
