Just tried fitting mine today. Can't get at the fecking screws and gave up after an hour and a half :| May have to take bumper off.
But many thanks to Dans for sorting it all out. Much appreciated :)

Theres no need to take the bumper off, I took off the plastic trim that covers the rad in the engine bay it lets a bit more light in
to help you see what you're doing, you need to bore the screw holes on the scoop out a little bit to let the screws go through
easier, I held the scoop in place then marked the top screw hole on the plastic I piloted that hole then screwed it in place then
just screwed the other 2 screws in they bite into the plastic easy, what you do need though is a long screwdriver to be able
to screw it in place, it really is a 10/15 minute job

We'll Jones 13. Just so you don't feel to bad I have just done what you have done and just finished putting it all back for the drive to work tomorrow. Will get it done on Saturday.

Thanks for the tip about taking the plastic shield off to let in more light! :)

Can you add me to the waiting list please

I assume these will work on the Alpina

Yes, they do.

Thanks Dan, fitted a treat (lots of swearing to get the old one out and the new one in, but completed without removing the bumper). Lovely bit of kit

Just fitted mine, took about 20 mins in total. A long screwdriver and a torch is a must tbh makes life a whole lot easier.
Now to see if it makes a noticeable difference?
Thanks again Dan.

Decided to paint mine red. And think it looks ok. Will try and get it fitted tomorrow

First coat

A couple more coats and quite pleased. May do more just to build up depth. But the deep red it really nice

Top job - would you like to do mine too :D

Quite like it red! Did you key the surface or paint straight over the black powdercoat?

Look forward to seeing it fitted.

Marlon - really easy job to do mate. If you fancy couple hundred miles round trip then pop in :)

Ben - Marlon did ask Dan if it needed priming etc. Dan said it should spray straight on so took the risk and sprayed straight on. Only thing I would say is take your time between coats as prone to cracking if not

Have you guys read Steve84n comments regarding the air scoop - lets just say he's not a big fan:

He seems like he knows everything without even buying one to have a look. Seems odd.

Anyway... Took my bumper off today to try and fit this and wondered where I'm supposed to screw into. How have you guys fitted it? All that's there is some plastic stuff. Are you meant to drill a hole and then screw into that?

Into the plastic? Seems a bit flimsy. God knows how you guys done it with the bumper still attached

With the bumper off you don't need to drill any holes. Just work the screws in and out of the scoop once and then offer up to the mounting position with a screw just started in the all the holes. You can then easily get the screws to take in the plastic.

With the bumper off I was a bit worried about it clashing, but forgot all about it when refitting the bumper and all is fine.
