Rainex vs potato?

Ruby, any progress with the potato experiment?

p.s: I used Rain-Ex on my previous car before the Zed, it worked well on the motorway, but after a month or two lost effectiveness. Let us know how it goes.

Afraid no results to speak of, been too busy with new job, weddings, spraining ankles and travelling to see the boyf in Germany that have had zero time to pay attention to poor Zara. Have some time this weekend so will give her some TLC and either try potato (I'm really curious) or Rain-x. Will report back in due course.

While I believe in the power of the potato (after some research) I've bought rain-x products for outside and inside.

Mind you, I could have bought a sack of spuds for what the rain-x cost!

For ski goggles i use this liquid used on swimming goggles, which stops those misting, last ages for me, infact i didnt even top it up this yr and works from last yrs application.

Sounds good but for those 2 things I use something cheap - bit of saliva works a treat . I don't think I could quite stretch to covering my rear windscreen.

Fairy liquid works pretty well at stopping misting, I used to put it on the visor of my bike helmet

I tried rainex before but it made the rear window hazy at night. Perhaps I applied it wrongly?

it shouldn't be hazy at all. Did you remove with water and kitchen roll as per the instructions?
