Quad Exhaust Conversion for our Bruce... NOW FITTED!!!

Thanks for your help JDM, it is pretty loud without the rear-box so maybe it will take some getting used to. I commute everyday driving on alot of motorways so I'm not sure if it is a bit drony!!! Ive made sure that the mid silencer and resonators have been kept still so it must sound pretty similar to yours now. I certainly get a few more looks now lol :D

This sounds very similar to mine - they've cut out the original back box, replacing it with 2 small silencers. I can live with it being loud but having driven to Leeds over the weekend the drone above 60 is terrible

It's going back in on Thurs for adjustments and see if they can do something about it

Don't get me wrong the car sounds amazing - like a real sport car! But like I said, the drone over 60 its almost unbearable almost to the point where I have to drive slow to keep the revs down. I'll post some pictures this evening so people can see the exhaust. The bloke at Longlife (Dan) has done an excellent job on cutting the bumper and fitting the tails. Well worth the wonga...

So Wills, does yours have two small silencers at the back? one for each exit?

It does - where the large silencer used to be it now has 2 smaller ones side by side. There's then a pipe going to each tailpipe.

I'll get some pics up in next couple of days

wills, if you have had smaller "boxes" put in it will take a while for them to soot up and the noise to settle - took mine about 1,000 miles, but they were improving after 400 or so. 10,000 later and they sounded better again :) Although it sounds like your setup is rather more severe than mine.

And yes, definitely adds to the driving experience :driving:

I have done 2000 miles since i had my quads fitted and they now have a rather nice rasping sound - Yes, a bit noisey on long journeys but you get used to it (although having the roof down or hardtop on is much easier on the ears than with just the rag top up)

I had it done the same as yours Ranski (roarpower) so that's good to hear.

It's going back in on Thurs though as the right side exhaust is out of line and also a small rattle

I've got a softop and I do find it quite loud - maybe its just down to getting used to it. I only got it fitted on Saturday lol :D

Exactly the same as yours - I saw your post on here & booked it in!

I do though have an issue where when the exhausts heats up the right hand tip comes out by 1inch - so it's going in on Thurs to be adjusted - have you had any problems?

God it looks stunning!! I'm with you that I love the ///M look but am not trying to make a copy so am very interested in getting this done!! Does the bumper look different on the new side-as in up close you can see its cut & not an original fit? Well done on a great look!!

Its custom made so it will fit! its circa £500 and car be out of use for a couple days i called a few months back myself to the same place.Theres little gain in BHP its pure noise and looks.
