What about your UK sticker?

Driving outside the UK
If your number plate includes the UK identifier with the Union flag (also known as the Union Jack), you do not need a UK sticker.

However, you will need to display a UK sticker clearly on the rear of your vehicle if your number plate has any of the following:

a GB identifier with the Union flag
a Euro symbol
a national flag of England, Scotland or Wales
numbers and letters only - no flag or identifier
If you’re in Spain, Cyprus or Malta, you must display a UK sticker no matter what is on your number plate

Looking forward to seeing the photos over the course of the journey as and when you guys have the time to post. Fingers crossed for a smooth trouble free trip!

That sounds like an epic trip! I hope you all have a great time, and manage to post some photos.

Having been a smug git .. payback today

Light out at the front .. so what a bitch that was to get to it

And then as I’m the only one getting a ferry I saw the weather forecast

Hey ho that will teach me

Are you taking all three passports?

If the local police confiscate your passport for an alleged misdemeanour you can still leave the country using another…

You can go through the EU nationals channel rather than being humiliated as a Brit

Certain countries have more relaxed ie no visa requirements..

For this trip I’ll take just two.. :tumbleweed:

I’d say he’s not clocking up his 90 days in the shengen zone

As an aside my wife’s sister lives in the USA and has an EU and a US passport .. she always enters the EU on her EU passport and on arrival back in the states lines up with the US passport

Does make things easier for her

The trip south begins…

Day 1 Scottish Borders to East Bridgeford down the A68 A1…stayed with our old neighbours…over 50 Porksters, Lambos, Ferraris etc coming the opposite way on the A68…

Dreadfully dull drive to Maidstone to rendezvous with Argyll Andy…so so glad I moved to Scotland….

Car very unhappy running on badly repaired roads at 40-60 mph in crawling traffic..

Tomorrow lunch time Chunnel train and then onto Le Crotoy near Abbeville..

I agree Peter, that 300 mile drag to the south coast is a pita
My Euro trips these days start at the Port of Tyne (DFDS) thus avoiding uk roads and arriving in Europe after a relaxing overnight crossing

It’s a much more civilised and stress free way to start and end a holiday.

I’m too old to rough it these days!

Sadly for this trip not an option but I’ll bear that in mind for my next strike into Scandinavia

I found a boat … then miraculously a pint

Does the day get better ?
