Great pics and looked like a great trip, weather played ball too and seeing as nobody has any front end damage, Bondars parachute brake hasnt been deployed

It’s been great looking at all the photos posted, looks like you all had a brilliant time.

Finally home in the early hours this morning

A 28 hour ferry from Bilbao to Rosslare on Brittany Ferries “economy” bath tub was not a luxurious or even comfortable way to end an epic trip

Being charged €16.20 for a coke and dried chicken with chips and rice was the icing on that trip!

Amazing views as we passed Land’s end and the Isles of Scilly though

A brand new luxury ferry replaces the tub I was on next month though for the next one

Final few pics below … and a very filthy zed resting at journey’s end

Made some great new friends and had some excellent nights with belly laughs, good food and cold beers as well as the epic roads particularly the road from Arette back into Spain on the last border crossing.. miles and miles of empty switchbacks, sweeping bends and stunning views with great surfaces

Just brilliant

A few pics from the last night and awaiting the ferry Santander to Plymouth..

Unlike the ferry Earthdweller was on, the Pont Aven was great by my limited ferry standards..spacious and well equipped, we had a nice cabin with sea view..food was good..very relaxing..I'd recomend it as the way to go to Iberia and /or maybe south of France...after 2 weeks of driving it made a nice way to return to Blighty without blasting back via Autoroutes..of course its pricey but if you plan to do only 4-5 hours a day driving then its not that more expensive when you add up tolls, hotels, meals, Chunnel etc..

It was late arriving, departing and unloading courtesy of Brexit..the only negative in my experience..

Back home after 2747 miles..that worked out at about 170 miles per day, although that was over 4 hours per day driving, reflecting the many twisty and winding roads..apart from one slowly developing cam box gasket weep all the cars ran well with no issues.

Was well pleased with the steering mods, the ability to follow any line, and at will change the direction with understeer or nodding in any of 3 dimensions was a massive improvement..the Ohlins suspension and camber plates made for a jiggly and clunky ride at low speeds on poor surfaces..in contrast running at high speeds made them work exceptionally well.

Its been a long time for me (6 years) visiting France and over 25 years since I drove in Spain and Andorra.

Generally the roads were in great condition..I was suprised at how many motorcyles were in the Pyrenees, reflections on the grey, later life bikers. Spain has changed so much in that time..roads, hotels, toilets are so much better.

At the port and on the boat many spoke glowingly about the roads, scenery and people in North West Iberia..I feel another trip coming on...

Travelling from the northern part of the U.K.to Europe don’t neglect to consider the port of Tyne and Hull
It saves that drag to the south coast.

I normally do the trip each year down to SW Germany and it’s a short drive to the port, a comfortable overnight crossing then arrive fresh and the drive begins!

Just looked at receipts etc for the first time. 34.39 mpg for over 3500 miles. Eco-pro definitely helped for the runs too and from ports/tunnel but the driving on the other side was less than economical

Absolutely delighted with those figures, make even more financial sense to do another :driving:
