Im thinking of buying a project car..i really like the thought of tootling around in a Pug 205 CTI with a dimma kit (wide arch) but they like rocking hourse pooh to find..any other swuggestions or what would you fancy?..budget of 3k allowed for initial buy.............
 
If you mean project car as in track car then Clio sports are brilliant bang for buck?
 
Id like something i can put a nice wide arch kit on etc...not so much a track car as a show car
 
I've got an e30 318is with a 3.5 from a 5er in it and lsd ect... no mot or tax off the road for over a year. body good jacking points need doing and needs coilovers to get it to handle and a full going over of the cooling system / full engine service. It was my project and my advice is don't start a project!
Got a buyer next month at £1500 which is less than half of what i have spent on it.
Don't do projects!

Golfs appreciate in value. I have to raise the value of my MK1 every year by almost 1k.

Then again, mine is a pure OEM non project car ...
 
Volkswagen Scirocco and stick the 20VT engine in it. You can pick up a good shell for £500-£800 no rust, engine for less.

Sounds mental though!! Did you do the work yourself? Any pics?
