[ref]j3nks79[/ref], have you done this job and do you have the tools?
And crucially, could you help Mark?
Better to have someone who has done it before.

I might have the cam locking kit for the N52. I’d have to check the garage.
Unfortunately I’m starting radiotherapy for liver cancer next week and I’m going to be out of action for a while.
But if I find the kit you are welcome to borrow it.
It’s probably a good 5 hours of work. Add a couple more of you haven’t done it before.
Ah damn!
Hope all goes well for you.
Keep us posted.

Thakyou. Not had a good run lately following my ileostomy.
But 5 sessions at Guys hospital starting Tuesday. So I’m in good hands.

So… the budget appears to have been ignored by my fellow Spa visitors. So…. I decided to take the plunge and get the CSL wheels. Can’t wait to fit them over the weekend!

The rear offset 27 is very aggressive on the non M cars.
You may get scrubbing over bumps with the 265 tyres.
And the 235 front will catch your arches on full lock

I don’t really understand what offset means. Can you help me understand? Are yours more or less aggressive than mine?

Those offsets do sound aggressive!

Put some details in here to see how they compare to the OE wheels:- https://www.willtheyfit.com/

Offset is how far the centre of the rim sits from the hub, measured in millimetres. The lower the offset, the more outboard the wheel sits. Et50 is standard for an 8.5” rear wheel on a Z4. You can push it to about et27 before it starts to protrude beyond the wheel arch. You can reduce the effective offset by fitting a spacer behind the wheel. 15mm or 20mm are popular.

That’s on a 8.5j wheel as well.
The csl rear is ET27 with a 9.5J wheel

Indeed. With an extra inch in the width of the wheel, you have an extra half an inch either side of the midpoint to contend with. So, the outer rim will protrude an extra 12.7mm, which will look frankly silly (remember Carlos Fandango?).

Thanks. Do you know what the offset is on the 108s?
