10/10 for all the effort and seeing it through to the end.

Styling is not for me though. The front bumper has some nice features but is a bit Mazda-ish. I really don't like the lower sections of the wings, particularly the rear angle. No continuity of lines.

I fear this car is destined to be featured on the PH 'badly modified cars' thread.

From the front it looks cool, Id like to see the rear with the lights looking more standard and the silly spoiler gone, the profile however is awful in my opinion, the curves of the Z4 have gone and it looks nothing like a finished car.

I don't even know what I think of the wheel arches, just a waste of a nice car really, its a shame as you have been to positive throughout the project

If I saw this car driving down the street I would just laugh

and thanks to me... you would have had some joy put into your otherwise mundane day.

You're welcome

Can't say I have many mundane days tbh, I lead a pretty eventful life and consider myself lucky.

I do thank you for the smiles your project has provided me with over the its lift though  makes me like the look of my car even more

That wasn't a dig by the way... I was being sincere.

I think whether you love or hate the car hence the name of the project, Brad has done a exceptional job, very few on here including me would have either the Big hairy balls, skill, comitment and passion to do this, its a big hats off from me Brad :hattip: and i love the car too

Thanks JE!

When I took on this project I knew I would be due a massive amount of criticism and hate. But in a way I am glad that this car has attracted the amount of attention it has, the people who hate and slate me are entitled to and I won't be the person to argue back or begrudge them of their opinion. At the end of the day I love my car and I love what I have done to it.

Every time I park it up I give it a second glance and can't see a single car parked in the car park next to it that I would rather be driving.

This thing could be parked next to an R34 Twin Turbo skyline and I would still pick up the BMW keys and drive off scraping down the road avoiding speed bumps and letting people 'laugh' at me...

Now that the build is 95% finished people are saying... Brad with hindsight would you still do this to your car and my answer is this...

I'm most likely going to be collecting a Porsche Cayman S, 2007 in August this year... and it's going right into a bodyshop the moment I get it to perform yet another crazy build which will soak up all of my free time, funds and sanity... let's see what happens this time. Will I 'ruin' another car? To the 99% of purists... yes I will be, do i care? Nope.

Some good points Brad, a project like this was always going to be a very tough sell on a one make forum where most love the shape of the original car. I'm sure among the hard core modding community the car would get a far better reception for the time and effort that's gone into it.....hey at over 60k views you've certainly kept people interested :)

Hi all, a fantastic looking project - proper marmite!

Obviously not to every persons taste, but defo big respect for taking on such a job. Personally, not really my thing - a stubby and new wheels is my limit, lol. Though i did see the marmite car having a test run on the track yesterday...

Good lad, if i get that 3L from Steve then i have the platform to build a crazy ///M killer, looks wise my car is almost there, illminated kick plates, fit the strut ive got, respray bumper and wings is all thats left and then new wheels, retrimmed steering wheel by royals this month is next.
So if i fit the 3L I plan to get a stage 2 ESS s/c 350-400bhp, grumpit, LSD, BBK front and rear then get Simpsons to work their magic too so this would carry on until 2015 but its the passion some of us have on here to make our Zeds one of a kind

JE this would give your car a great boost. Don't forget coilovers though

Not sure there's much you be able to easily do with the steering, but removing the electronic steering would really be a big improvement as well.

You took it to a retail park?!!!

I made it in one piece didn't I? Marmite and I are getting used to everyday life together... had to go sideways over a speed bump to get in but I managed to pick up a new set of trainers while I was there... happy days!
