Suggestion and feel free to tell me to get bent but... I painted the return spring retainer clippy things black when I got the new ones on. I didn't think much to it other than I didn't like how the originals corroded so wanted to paint them and protect them so game them the hammerite treatment. Now, I just need to get the last couple off and finish the job...

I think it looks sweeet, kinda hides them as they're not all that attractive but gives them a kind of stealth cool. Or any kind of contrasting colour would help the calipers themselves stand out.
Just a thought.

Got to agree here. I fitted chrome plated springs and they have lasted 5 years and make the calipers look much better than the 'dipped in hammerite look'.
Still - hardly a big item in the grand scale of these changes :)

I am really sorry that you have had such misfortune with this project. I was genuinely gutted when you said that there had been a break in.

We're going off topic here guys... We were actually waiting for a serious picture-heavy project update :-)

Indeed... Though we all know The Forum abhors a vacuum :D

I've been away for a while and just caught up on this thread.
Some not very nice folk around.
On the bright side those thieving b******* deserve that front bumper.

Are donations still being accepted?

I'll happily contribute a donation if you promise never to cut up a coupe  :poke:

Good luck with the build Brad. Subscribed.
