Keeping you on tentative hooks while I finalise a few things back home. I'm currently back in the waiting game for some parts which I have had to Re-Order including front halos, coilovers (Could not get seperate ones so have had to purchase them again!) and will be sending my spacers off to the Magic Machine Monkey Man Mat for some last minute revisions thanks to the sizing of the new alloys and the alternate stud pattern (which your contributions helped to fund :crazydude: Thank you all so much!)

These Gartmeir SSR Mainbach alloys are a staggered setup with 11j fronts and 13j rears, running stretched 265/35/19's on the rears and 245/35/19 fronts. For those of you who might not grasp just how wide 13j alloys are, lamborghini's come standard with 11j's on the rears...

They've got enough 'deep dishiness' to eat a 3 course meal off of.

Our plan at the moment is to crack on with the front arches which will take us most of this week. By that time the parts should have all arrived and I will have some proper updates for you all which will contain real substance!

Keep up the good work, the new wheels aren't as well suited as the old ones for me, but I'll reserve proper judgement until you're finished.

As said in the other thread, they came with decent tyres though, and are most definitely wide enough for this crazy project of yours!

Glad to see you're back in the game Brad. I really hope you have sorted that garage out security wise and / or ruled out any inside knowledge to stop a repeat of last time.

Sponsorship Update

Despite my lack of posting, you'd be surprised just how much has actually being going on with Project Marmite outside of the garage in recent weeks. Firstly let me apologise for the seeming lack of progress I aim to keep you better informed on the work being done on the car, however I feel I do not want to make a post unless it is going to be of interest to you.

I bring some news which our US forum members might be interested to know. I have managed to secure another sponsor for the build in the form of Planted technology http://www.plantedtechnology.com/ who have kindly given me a significant discount on their bespoke-made custom brackets for aftermarket seats. After shopping around for an absolute age no supplier was able to provide me with the brackets I needed, when I came across Planted they were quick to use my build as a means of promoting their products across the pond and for the price of a few running decalls I was able to snap up some custom made brackets for the e85 z4.

I am awaiting delivery of these brackets but when they do arrive I shall have everything i need to fit the bucket seats and finish off the interior of the car! Lovely!

For all of you picture obsessed lot out there, I will yet again hold out on you and only give you an image of something I managed to do since all of the wheels are still off the car, paint my brake calipers... I don't want to reveal what my front arches are looking like right now as they are most probably going to change anyway once we fit the massive 11j front tyres and 13j rears...

Sponsorship Update

Only an out the box idea, though I would consider phoning Marmite's marketing department & possibly that of Unilever as well (Parent Company who owns them)... explain the history & publicity your build has been achieving, that it's planned to be at Silverstone and are asking for it to be the lead Z4 in the Parade lap...

Simple rule of Sales is to think up why the person you're calling can really benefit from what you have to say - short, sweet & to the point - maybe Bing can do the cold call for you...

Ching ching... best of luck
