£3k sale price
£1k 'donation' from us fine fellows less...
£300 eBay fees
£1k min in parts (and no charge for any labour)
£1k wheels
£2k car (assuming it was a cat D and a wreck, which is the only way it could be £2k)
I make that a £300 loss, but given the car was probably bearer £5k than £2k, I'm being kind, so I call BS.
Either way, given we could have made our donation the running of this forum rather than Brads junk, I hope he does the decent thing and gives some of his 'tidy profit' towards this forum.

Wouldn't be as galling if he had made good with a healthy donation back to the forum. He was before my time so I wasn't suckered in to his project marmite, but I've read all about it. It was one helluva thread - top class entertainment with El Taco taking pot shots.

1) Why on earth did he think this was a good idea and why on earth did people give him money?!
2) Why would you embark on such a project and start with a 2.2i (sorry 2.2i owners) if your going to waste.......sorry spend this sort of money on a car why not start with the 3.0i in the first place?!
Grizzly9 said:I was one of many to donate and I'll tell you why. I personally didn't know the chap but the reason why people donated, we'll me anyway, was that some scrotes had broke into his garage and trashed the project car looking for stuff to nick etc. For whatever naivety he started that project and whatever naivety we had for donating, I think we felt he'd been wronged especially as he was 'one of us' (a Z4 saddo) and so felt empathy. Bikes or cars that are modified will very rarely make any profit. I think a good idea in principle but maybe not thought out properly in practical terms. The Zed 4, Rag, Tin or Coupe looks great as it is. If it ain't broke....................
