Just heard from the dealer that my G29 order has changed to status 150 which I think means it is starting the production process.

May treat myself to a small glass of red to celebrate!

Hi Ori - delivery currently showing as mid-Feb assuming no further delays but I probably wouldn’t take it until 1st March.

Spec is Tech Pack, Driver Assistance and wind deflector - only delete showing at the moment is wireless charging but I have been told that if touchscreen is deleted it won’t show until build is complete.
 
Hi blaster1956, I received an update for mine (ordered 27th September) just before Christmas - due at Dealer week 4, i.e. w/b 24th January. A further Dealer update on 11th January (quote): "...I checked again yesterday and its pushed back again until Middle of Feb. This could come forward again. I will keep you updated..."

Pretty much in line with your expected delivery date and if then I too will hold out for March and a '22 plate.

That’s a shame about the delay - interesting that it was originally due before mine even though it was ordered a couple of weeks after!

Probably next to each other on the production line as we speak! :driving:
 
Woohoo, I hope they've improved their processes since ori's and mine were delivered, as I'm sure it was about two months from build to actually getting the car. It was sole destroying to see it stuck at the factory for two weeks waiting for final inspections, another two weeks to get to the port and etcetera :headbang:

Congrats! Still no news my end on my Sept order... but I was always working towards a March delivery anyway. Im guessing ours could be going through the factory at similar times, it's just that the dealer hasn't been in contact with me (and to be fair, I haven't bothered chasing them either way).
 
OK so things moving along pretty quickly, car is now in paintshop. I've had the Genius Team send me the current options list and at present there is no touchscreen delete, or backup assistant delete, showing.

The following deletes are showing though:

Z6W - Description "Deletion of wireless charging". As expected.

6P1 - Description ""Wifi Functions" - I believe this is the delete code for Apple Carplay and Android Auto and may possibly affect other functions (I've seen OTA updates mentioned in another forum). I think some aspects may be re-instated via a software update in the future but I don't have any concrete details from the dealer as of yet.

Yeah I'd imagine they must be pretty close together! In case you aren't aware, if you have an order number you can ping that to the Genius team and they will give you the current status.

Please excuse me being thoroughly dim but do you do this via email? The Online Genius Live Chat has never worked for me, the pop-up screen just says "We'll answer your questions about BMW products. How would you like to contact us? Support hours: Monday - Sunday: 8am - 10pm."

hi Peter - what I do (and there may be other ways!) is go to the UK Z4 Page (On a desktop or laptop), then after a few seconds the Live Chat window pops up in the bottom right, assuming you are within the support hours (08.00-22.00 daily) you should see both Live Chat and Callback options for the Genius team.
