Tim, my deepest condolences - I know from your posts on here how much you put her before everything else and did all you could for her. Probably more. The car can be fixed, forget it - karma will win. And your mum is at least now at peace. Not much consolation I know, but I hope you have no doubts in your mind about whether you could have done more, because I don't think you should. Take care, I hope the next few days and weeks are kind to you.

Allan

^this.

Condolances Tim. The worst news and if there ever is a bad time of year for it to happen, this is it. Sorry to hear of your loss. As Bing says, karma effect will catch up on everything else, and aim to celebrate your mothers life as much as possible.

Thanks Beedub, I know exactly what your saying, luckily for me my mum was by bestest friend as well as a mum which makes it especially hard for me. The biggest thing I'm struggling with at the moment is going from 7 years of looking after someone pretty well constantly to suddenly nothing. You start to questions all things in life.

Unfortunately my brother lives 5 hours drive away so left to me to sort the funeral out which is all done now and sorting the estate out.

Tim.

Sorry to hear of your loss Tim, its a horrible time for you & your family to cope with-dont make any rash decisions until you have had a chance to get your head round things.

Tim, I dont know what to say except to send condolences, it sounds like your mum was one special lady.

Hi Tim ,that's terrible news. But be strong I'm sure she would want that. And as someone said earlier things will get better with time.

So sorry to hear about your mum Tim. I lost my dad on the 14th of November this year. He was taken ill on the Tues morning at 3am and went into hospital. Ended up on the Acute medical ward like your mum. He was transferred to the high dependency unit that evening and we were called back in at 3am the next morning. My mum and my four sisters were at his bedside when he slowly passed away. As you said it wasn't at all how I expected it. It was a very quiet peaceful moment.

My dear Tim.... truly the very deepest condolences.

What we lose in life is another gain in some way. Mother's hold something in our hearts that can never be replaced.

Sympathies go out to you Tim for your loss. Hope you are receiving all the support you need, especially at this time of year.

Thanks everyone for your support and wonderful replies, I'm so grateful and feel very humbled.

I've contacted Dent Wizard and fired some photos of the Zed off so hoping they will be able to sort the damage out.

Not sure where in the UK you are Tim, but if you fancy hooning with a few good ol' country boys on the south coast / goodwood area, pm me and we will sort out some mature rubber burning fun & maybe a pint? 8)

Very sad, I think maybe in some weird way it's easier over the holidays as you'll get to see all your family to share the good memories of her.

That's probably the nicest looking Z3 I've seen since I was going to buy one from BMW Sewell in Bishop Stortford in 1999.
