In Finland private plates cost over 1000 euros. it's cheaper to change your name. Our plates goes like (for example) HGR-444.

I wouldn't pay more than £250 for a private plate but always find something to put on my cars. Usually to do with the car, so had S2K plate on S2000, MG plate on MGF and now UDM on the BMW.
I put LR**VER on my disco.......... you have to get in early on these as some of the dealerships have twigged and buy up LR**VER and RR**VER pretty quickly.
wished i bought MX51 SCO when i was in MX-5 scotland ... only 250 quid at the time.
i like zzz plates but they are not everyone's cup of tea
if you search on DVLA,sometimes you can find good plates on auction,which you can bid in person/phone/internet or they sometimes do online only auctions.
Bought S11URV in 1988 for £ 250.It's spent most of its life on my wife's cars,but now I've grabbed it back I'm going to keep hold of it. Looks great on my Z., especially in between MOT's.
My old man has 21 BMW on his Z1, which again looks great between MOT's!!! i was Trying to find 24 BMW funnily enough its already on a Z4 out there some where!
