Private number plate or not?

In all seriousness though, that's just obscene.

I agree - but its probably only what we call pocket change! I know its a sad world in that respect :(

Never liked them, especially on ordinary cars but I've put one on my Z4M cos its a long term keeper and I think it suits.

Only £250 but it contains all the family's initials and 3 of us were born on the 14th.
How have you got the front plate attached? Is it in the standard UK plate holder? Mine has four bolts in the corners but I'd like the boltless look if I could guarantee it would stay attached.

Industrial strength Velcro. Used it on my previous car for 5 years too and had no probs.

Don't know why they insist on plastic bolts - Proper double sided tape does the job 100% 8) - It did ok on my E85 at autobahn speeds last time - They don't think it will lift off at speed do they
I have a plate without holes from the last car and I will replace them when I return from holiday - boltless does look much better

And it works - Plates have been on my Disco 3 for five years now!

The fact that someone is prepared to offer £6m to drive around with different initials on the front of their car just proves you are all bonkers! :D

In all seriousness though, that's just obscene.

No one's offering £6m. Mr Khan's "mate" offers 6m to generate a news story, Kahn Design (soon to open a showroom in London) ends up in the news.

Surprised that Bernie Ecclestone didn't pick up this plate when Essex County Council were offering it (they had F1 and 1F).

Somebody offered £400k-odd though which is just as nuts! It's an effin' number plate!!!
That was Mr Khan when he bought it. Seems that none of the F1 insiders were prepared to offer that much, which says something although I'm not sure what?

Consider this: what's the fine for displaying an invalid number plate? How many times would you have to be nicked for it to cost you £400k? Stick F1 on your car and see what happens. :)

My initials are M.A.D. and couldn't find one cheap enough.I could have bought P15T MD cheap for a bit of a laugh but I thought against it as it would cause too much attention. :drinking: :drinkwine: :police: So that was a NoNo.
