Nice... Do you always park them in number order each night? :)

Ha ha, no - that pic was taken at the parents last year, only the Mini has it's plate on now, replaced the van and the Z4 and haven't bothered to sort the plates out yet

Yes it's 2013 so makes him 23. Legal age to drive is 17 lol
Maybe I should have put a smiley ;)

Anyway, here's mine:

Bought when they were released in 1999, but had to wait until 2002 before I had a car new enough to put it on... wife's name is Tahira and T4HRA had already gone.

It looked better on the Z4 before someone crumped the right rear of the bumper though :(

No middle initial for me so I would need something 1k plus and as I'm half Yorkshire I've never bothered. Not averse to them in principle just haven't seen one I like yet. Dvla are charging 1k plus for anything with bmw in it and nothing left reading z4. E89's have gone too, so running out of options... :headbang:

Never been struck on the RON/BOB/ROY/ short name plates :(
Please don't be offended if you have one !

Never liked them, especially on ordinary cars but I've put one on my Z4M cos its a long term keeper and I think it suits.

Only £250 but it contains all the family's initials and 3 of us were born on the 14th.

I would have loved a dateless plate but seemed a bit ridiculous to have a plate that cost more than the car! So I went for this beauty instead...

Never ceases to amaze me that people will spend hundreds and even thousands or tens of thousands on a number plate but judging by this thread I am in a minority of one. You're all bonkers!

If I were to have an initial plate I'd have the dateless combos, so CW x, x CW, x CLW, CLW x. I went for CAR1 W but lost out by £100 (such is the nature of auctions). I keep getting notifications of stuff coming up at the DVLA auctions but nothing seems special enough to bid on (8000 CW? WTF?)

Apparently those who buy plates at auction look down on those of us with £250 plates. Whatever.

How have you got the front plate attached? Is it in the standard UK plate holder? Mine has four bolts in the corners but I'd like the boltless look if I could guarantee it would stay attached.

The fact that someone is prepared to offer £6m to drive around with different initials on the front of their car just proves you are all bonkers! :D

In all seriousness though, that's just obscene.

People say bonkers when they see a car that only has two seats , limited boot space and does 30mpg (ish) has a rag top that cats scratch - but we like them all the same!
