I broke 3 Chrome Vanadium sockets and sheared an extension piece.
Got them loose using a mates high strength Impact socket and a long socket bar - Fuming
I rang the garage and they assured me they always tighten up to the correct torque
:?
I could be offended by that remark but being a pensioner now, fair comment, but yes I was turning the correct way. Odd thing was the locking but was ok.maxman said:You are turning it anti clockwise I hope.

Sheared an extension piece because I couldn’t find my brace. Ordered a 17mm impact socket so I can use my extension bar at 90 degrees to get the normal bolts out as they won’t shift.
Glad I did check as wouldn’t want to be at the side of the road with this problem.
